The report, which was prepared in conformity with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI-G3.1), achieved the maximum Application Level (A+), as confirmed by the assurance statement of an independent organization and by the application level check of the GRI.
The areas addressed in the 2011 Sustainability Report were chosen on the basis of the information needs of stakeholders and the specific characteristics of the capital goods industry. Significant attention was also given to the information requirements of socially responsible investors (SRIs) and financial and non-financial analysts who periodically review the Group’s sustainability performance.
The areas discussed in the Report (governance, product, manufacturing processes, human resource management and relationships with local communities, dealer network, customers and suppliers) are organized into these main sections:
- Group organizational structure and overview of the strategic approach to sustainability through the Sustainability Plan
- economic, environmental and social dimension with details of initiatives implemented in 2011
- information on additional indicators
