inside intelligence for responsible business

business courts the arts world

June 2004

Corporate support for the arts in the UK has reached its highest level for three years. Companies made £120million ($215m) worth of in-kind and cash donations, as well as sponsorship, to the arts in 2002-03, eight per cent more than in the previous year.

Arts & Business, a non-profit body that acts as a bridge between companies and the world of arts, said the figures – which it collected – suggested the arts world was increasingly persuading firms to become involved as a way of tackling diversity and social inclusion.
