HIV charities target firmsJuly 2002
A coalition of five HIV charities has set up an initiative called Positive Futures that will aim to help London-based companies recruit and retain HIV-positive staff.
Support for the venture has come from Charlotte Sweeny, diversity director at Barclays Bank, and the mayor of London Ken Livingstone, whose economic arm, the London Development Agency, is providing funding.
Around 70 per cent of the 12,000 Londoners with HIV or Aids are unemployed.
